Packaging

When ship direct to the final customer is required to save cost and cycle time, FCI systems provide this service.

Three major types of packaging are offered:

Tape and Reel

• Precision pick and placers with acute process controls insure high performance packaging
• A variety of antistatic tape widths and pocket sizes are available at FCI. Pockets are designed to provide position and rotational control.
• Pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) cover tapes are used to cover and protect the KGP during transit and storage.
• Product quantity per reel is up to the customer.

Tray (or Waffle Pack)

• Precision pick and placers with acute process controls insure high performance packaging
• A variety of antistatic tray depths and sizes are available. Tray pockets are designed to provide position and rotational control.
• Antistatic tray covers are used to cover and protect the KGP during transit and storage.

Film Frame

• Sawn and inspected dice can be left on the film frame and shipped to the customers for their use on various manufacturing equipment.
• Film frames are thin stainless steel carriers that hold the mounting tape and die in place.
